Another volume in the Elements series, Elements: Nature's Ballet features a DVD of water and wildlife landscapes as well as a companion CD soundtrack. Elements: Nature's Ballet' music is some of the most traditionally new age-y in the Elements series, mixing nature sounds with gentle, chamber music-inspired instrumentals. The pianos, cellos, flutes, and guitars on "Signs of Life," "Life's Way," and "Full Bloom" make a lovely contrast to the chirping birds and flowing water sounds that decorate the album. Elements: Nature's Ballet comes close to stereotypical new age instrumentals on "Sounds of the Ocean," but for the most part the music is both restrained and flowing, and sidesteps most of the conventional pitfalls of the style. Overall, Elements: Nature's Ballet is a unique and relaxing combination of sound and vision that keeps things refreshingly simple. ~ Heather Phares
