Angela Hewitt delivers an exuberant, stimulating performance of these works. The French Suites, here including three extant movements, are complemented by the 18 Little Preludes (BWV 924-8;930; 933-43; 999), the Prelude and Fugue in a-minor (BWV 894) and the Sonata in d-minor (BWV 964) to make for a very generous disc. The sound from Hyperion is first-class, as always.
