Jeremy Brett's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes leaves the recent Robert Downey Jr. portrayal far behind. Brett is simply stunning in his complex characterisation, particularly a delight for those familiar with the opiginal stories. Lavishly made, with close attention to historical details, these episodes make for repeat viweing. Every single episode in this volume is wonderful, check out Holmes' fantastic disguises in "A Scandal in Bohemia"!
