I am a huge fan of Wes Anderson's other films such as Bottle Rocket and The Life Aquatic because of their quirky, awkward humour and story lines, but this film does not deliver in this department at all. I almost switched it off in the middle it was boring me so much, I didn't laugh once throughout the entire film and in parts I literally almost dozed off. I do not recommend seeing this film at all!

Rushmore is on the best comedies of recent years, and was the film to relaunch Bill Murray's career, seeing him play an even more deadpan character than usual. The central plot revolves around a student at the prestigious Rushmore college (played by Phantom Planet drummer Jason Swartzman) who is enrolled in just about every extra-curricular activity at the school, but like most students of his type, has pretty average grades. He befriends the father (Bill Murray) of two of his most hated school-mates, but things soon turn sour as both fall for a widowed teacher at the school. Some truly hilarious moments pepper this subtle but wonderful film.

This movie is quite wierd and dark, and even ridiculous in a way. Rushmore follows a bad student who looks like a good student, who falls in love with his teacher and his friends dad is also after the teacher. It was a wierd movie, the acting sucked and I just dont think the story was any good to beguin with
