Jon Voight heads the cast in this US television sequel to 'Lonesome Dove', the historical mini-series from 1988. Ex-Ranger Captain Woodrow Call (Jon Voight) has just buried his friend Gus and decides to drive a herd of mustang from Texas to Montana and set up a new homestead with the help of Gideon (Oliver Reed) and Isom (William L. Peterson). However the trio soon find themselves in danger from Indians and other Montana locals and their new cattle company venture provides even more headaches.
