The story of a non combatant in a combat unit was interesting and may still represent problems for people who hold those views. In National Service days such a person had to seek exemption from the Courts. In the film the Courts Martial scenes were unrealistic at least in the Australian experience. The battle scenes were problematic. Unlikely that a large body of attacking troops would attack a hill by climbing a cargo net. The lead actor did well. I would not recommend this
