Considering this movie was made years ago it is a great flick. Jean-Claude Van Damme slides into this role very well, Full of violence blood and pain tthis movie set mainly round the boxing ring is a sure hit with the guys, it keeps you wanting more and seeing Jean-Claude Van Damme perform it riveting. The name does the movie justice thats for sure.

When this film first came out years ago i thought it was top dollar.I saw it again recently and still think it's top dollar. This has to be VanDams better movies by far,Bloodspoet is a great fighting action film, and the glass gloves at the last fight were awesome. The only other VanDam movie that could rival Bloodsport is Cyborg.

One of the first films I ever saw with "the Muscles from Brussels", which proved to be his breakthrough role, and easily the most enjoyable of his films. Van Damme plays Frank Dux, the first westerner to win the Kuimte, a big mixed martial arts competition. Pretty low budget, but exciting for its mixed styles of martial arts. Donald Gibb is great as Dux's big numbskull mate.

Easily Jean Claude Van Dammes best movie he has ever made. It has all the elements of all of his terrible movies since this, but for some reason it just all comes together here in a really good way to make a good action flcik. The concept of the movie is what drew me in, the action and opponents were well crafted and jean claude does some of his usual roundhouse kicks
