Great cast - with the exception of Kidman. Its slow paced, nonsensical and the ending is extremely weak. I felt it was as if someone had seen how far they could go with such a small concept and this was the final result. While it is intriguing at the beginning, this quickly wears off. I only bought it because it was $5.

many people find this movie pretty disturbing, as it is nicole kidman with a ten year old boy, but that is just the charm and edginess of the movie, which is an indie flick. but tells of interesting things such as reincarnation, and gives hope that there realy is life after death. a great watch, if not a bit sick but that is only societys perception of things.

A young widow about to remarry an old friend finds herself confronted by a twelve year old boy who insists that he is the reincarnation of her dead husband. Austere to the point of severity, Birth is a very cold movie on more than one level - the most obvious is the wintery look. But something is missing, it seems to be trying so hard to be provocative it forgets to make you care.
