I am very pleased with this purchase. The dvd of the 1925 version of "Ben Hur" is in excellent condition and I understnd now how in the "Silent" era even a long epic movie can be rivetting entertainment. I can recommend this movi to any movie buff. Glad you had thios movie on sale Mike

Absolutely amazing! This is Charlton Heston at his best. It's hard to believe it has been 50 years since this was released, an amazing feat of technology for the time. This movie will never age, but will be valued well into the future. One thing about this movie is that it is often put forward as a religious movie. I disagree. There is a religious element, especially at the end, but the movie is more than that. It is about family, love, fanaticism, retribution and redemption. Everyone should see this movie at least once in their lives.
