An award-winning textbook revealing the inner workings of the body in motion. Join author Andrew Biel on a unique and fascinating journey as he helps you build-step by step-a human body in motion! This beautifully illustrated book-with over 900 full colour, hand-drawn images-explores the world of human movement using an innovative and engaging approach to bring mobility and stability to life. It takes the reader through building a moving human form from the ground up. Using bones, fasciae, joints, muscles and nerves, the reader applies biomechanical principles to achieve posture and gait. Instead of dissecting the body into smaller, isolated pieces, Trail Guide to Movement takes the unique approach of building the body into larger, interconnected components. This award-winning textbook is written with the same encouraging voice and subtle humor as the iconic Trail Guide to the Body, making the study of human movement easy to understand, captivating, and memorable. And, to reinforce your knowledge, you'll find review questions at the end of chapters. With the purchase of Trail Guide to Movement, students automatically gain free access to videos that augment lessons found in the text.
