When Quinn meets grumpy cowboy Riker at her niece's pony-ride birthday party, love is the last thing on her mind. Though she can't deny his mocking smirk and growly sarcasm have a certain appeal, she has no intentions of ever seeing him again.

But then her life rarely goes according to plan.

A second chance encounter on the same day does little to curb her instinct to bolt, but Riker isn't so quick to dismiss their connection...even if it is just physical. And physical is just fine by Quinn.

She's been numb for so long, she doesn't remember what love feels like. Her sister may think her heart's just broken, but after what she's done, Quinn's not sure she has one. In pieces or otherwise.

One random hook-up leads to another, and with it an understanding. Just sex. That's all. An escape from a past neither of them wants to talk about and a future neither of them dares to hope for.

No love.
No expectations.

And Quinn can rest easy knowing no one else gets hurt by the tin girl without a heart.
