Reviews

Joyce Dunbar is one of the best writers for children today, and this is a wonderful example of her sensitivity, lyrical style and gentle humour. . . . Debi Gliori's pictures take the text and warm it through with cosy, glowing night-time scenes full of the detail children love. If ever there were a perfect bedtime book, this has to be it

This is a lovely book for children who have a bit of trouble settling down to sleep. It is filled with lovely things to think about as they head off to the land of nod. Although the main character is a bunny he is just like any child trying to find any excuse not to go to sleep.

Cute pictures, but too wordy, and the words don't flow as well as other stories. It also introduces 'unhappy' thoughts (before replacing them with happy thoughts), things my young son probably wouldn't be thinking about before bedtime before the story introduced them.
