About the Author

Mike Hennessey is an Indigenous professional counsellor and has worked in a clinical setting with children for the past five years. A major focus of his work is helping young children cope with strong emotions while taking personal responsibility for their decisions and building strong, positive relationships with others. This experience resulted in Mike co-writing Hunter Makes a Choice, as well as other books in this series. He lives in Oromocto, New Brunswick, with his wife and two small children.

Rachel McNair has worked with children for over a decade and has a Master of Education in Counselling. For four years, she has worked directly with Indigenous children in a counselling setting to face social and emotional hurdles. Through her experience and expertise, she provides helpful skills and strategies for kids as they work through these concerns. She lives in Summerside, PEI, with her husband.
