This is the fourth issue of "The Reater". Started in winter 1997 it brings together challenging new British writing with the best of Southern California. It features established names alongside newcomers. Interleaved among the poetry and prose are interviews, reviews, and striking illustrations. "The Reater" is also an outlet for new and reprinted material by the great names of L.A./Long Beach literature: Charles Bukowski, Gerald Locklin, Fred Voss, Joan Jobe Smith and others. Issue four includes poetry from: Brendan Cleary, Martin Mooney, Steve Dearden, Anna Robinson, T.F.
