About the Author

Dr. Chunling Du received the B. Eng. and the M. Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST), China, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She has been working on data storage servo control systems for more than fifteen years and recently working for advanced and intelligent manufacturing as a senior research and development scientist. She has been interested and working in the areas of data analytics and machine learning for condition monitoring, precision motion control, advanced control algorithms and applications, and real-time sensing and signal processing. She has authored and coauthored more than one hundred papers, and two books of H∞ Control and Filtering of Two-dimensional Systems (Springer, 2002) and Modeling and Control of Vibration in Mechanical Systems (CRC, 2010). She is a senior member of IEEE.

Dr. Chee Khiang Pang, Justin, received the B.Eng.(Hons.), M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in 2001, 2003, and 2007, respectively, all in electrical and computer engineering, from National University of Singapore (NUS). In 2003, he was a Visiting Fellow in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE), University of Queensland (UQ), St. Lucia, QLD, Australia.
