K Wendt has a bachelor's degree in English, but never really wanted to be a teacher. Instead, she always felt a desire to be a part of the book-making process, possibly even writing a book. Her first book, Duney, was a big first step on that journey, working with her son as illustrator. She followed that success with four other children's books and now teams up with her mother as illustrator for Bunny in the Bluebonnets. K has had a passion for writing since she was young and loves being able to create a new story on a fresh, blank page. She currently lives in central Texas with her family. She recently completed her first adult novel.
