A gripping Temperance Brennan novel from world-class forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, the international no. 1 bestselling crime thriller writer and the inspiration behind the hit TV series Bones.

When Dr Temperance Brennan is accused of mishandling the autopsy of a missing heiress, a routine case swiftly turns sinister. But before Tempe can get to the one man with the information she needs, he turns up dead.

In Montreal, three elderly women are found murdered, their bodies brutally discarded. Even though the clues don't add up, Tempe is certain of a link between their deaths and that of the heiress.

Has Tempe made grave errors, or is she being sabotaged by an unseen enemy? What is frighteningly clear is that more than just Tempe's career is at stake. Her life is also at risk.

Kathy Reichs has produced another winner.....a bit more technical than some of her previous books but if you are interested in the forensic side of things you will be fascinated. I came from enjoying Patricia Cornwells Dr Kay Scarpetta which I still greatly enjoy, but Kathy Reichs' Dr Tempe Brennan (soooo different from the TV character in Bones) is much more likeable. The Dr Brennan in the novels is how I imagine Kathy Reichs is in real life, or close to this. If you haven't read a Kathy Reichs novel before, please start with the first "Deja Dead" and work through them so you can build with the characters and their history. Very enjoyable, I'm always excited when I can buy a new release of hers. This novel "206 Bones" is set almost entirely in Canada, where some of her previous novels have been located, and some are a bit of both or as with "Devil Bones" it is set exclusively in the US. A bit of variety and lots of forensic/anthropological intrigue. It almost makes you want to get into science and her fascinating field....however, the reader can enjoy and be fascinated without all the "yucky" first hand experiences of a forensic nature. I love this stuff, but you wouldn't catch me in a real morgue!!!
